There was a referendum in Dombass back in 2014 (after the Obama administration took over Kiev). The people voted to be part of Russia, but the USA chose to ignore the votes. Anyone who believes the status "on the ground" in Ukraine will remain unchanged or that the fascists will extend their reach to Russia are fooling themselves.
Can you explain what happens in those regions not under Russian control. Will they vote? Will there be any observers? Are there any observers on the Russian held territory? Generally speaking Russias actions have been legal (IMO), how does this bear up? (Not that it's likely to matter I spose.)
